Product

FOCAL is a macOS productivity app for managing projects, notes, reminders, and related personal workflow data. The app is designed as a local-first desktop product.

License

When you purchase FOCAL, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the app according to the license terms presented at purchase. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or modify FOCAL unless written permission is provided.

Trial, Purchase, and Refunds

FOCAL may offer a free trial and a one-time purchase option. Current marketing pages mention a 7-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee. The exact checkout, delivery, and refund workflow must be finalized before launch.

Refund requests should be sent to [CONTACT EMAIL TO ADD] once the support email is available.

Local Data

FOCAL stores app workspace data locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your device and app data. Local-first software gives you control, but it also means lost, deleted, or damaged local files may not be recoverable by FOCAL.

Updates

FOCAL may receive updates, fixes, and improvements over time. Marketing language about included future updates applies to the current major version unless stated otherwise at purchase.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use FOCAL, the website, or related services to violate laws, infringe rights, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with systems, or abuse support, payment, download, or licensing infrastructure.

No Warranty

FOCAL is provided as-is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, no guarantee is made that the app or website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every use case.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daniel Purgal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, business, or goodwill arising from use of FOCAL.

Changes

These Terms may be updated as purchase, download, license, and support systems are finalized. The latest version will be posted on this page.
